Green smoothies are really good for our health and this is a well-known fact. All of them have strong antioxidant advantages, boost nutrition, increase energy and support weight loss. If you like really, really GREEN smoothies (and I’m talking here more about the content rather than a flavour) then you have to try this one. It is rich in texture and has a very strong flavour of greens.
A couple of years ago when I started my green smoothies journey I have been adding only a handful of spinach to my regular fruity smoothie. With time I have changed the proportion of fruits vs. veggies in all of them and now every green smoothie that I make contains mainly vegetables with an addition of either apple or pear. The smoothie that I’m proposing today is the most veggie one by far from all of the ones that I have tried, but still very tasty (or maybe it’s just the great feeling of all these vitamins soaking into your body when you drink it – I will let you decide:)
- 4 dates
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 handful of kale
- 3 celery sticks
- 3/4 of ripe avocado
- 250ml of coconut water
- Soak dates in warm water for around 10 minutes.
- Blend all of the ingredients together using a smoothie blender.
Alternatively, you can add fresh juice squeezed from 1/2 of lemon.
